The Wooki® XL underquilt is Warbonnets full-length down underquilt for the Blackbird XLC and Eldorado hammock models.
The Wooki® is a hammock down underquilt which covers the whole bottom of the hammock but only a portion of that is insulated, with the insulated area being aprox. 44″ wide x 76″ long and tapering towards the feet. It doesn’t require any adjustment; you literally set it and forget it. If you are over 6’4″ in height the Wooki is still sufficient. The insulated part goes right to the tip of the footbox and your feet should never hang past that point when laying in the hammock correctly. If the tip of your head sticks a few inches past the insulation this is also not an issue, in warmer weather you do not need insulation there, in colder weather you will be wearing a hat or down hood and possibly a pillow, any of these things will take care of insulation for your head. We have users all the way up to 6’6″ using the Wooki down underquilt with their hammock that have no issues.
The Wooki® underquilt features a dual differential cut 15 Denier High Threadcount PFC free C0 DWR ripstop nylon shell(Durable Water Resistence), and is overstuffed with 850 fill Hyper-Dry DWR Duck down which meets the new RSD certification (Responsible Down Standard).
It is possible to use the Wooki on similarly sized non-Warbonnet hammocks as well, the elastic portion of the Wooki suspension can be lengthened slightly with a short leash of cord to make the down underquilt fit a longer hammock or to intentionally create an inefficient fit in warmer weather, although most people will be able to use a cold weather quilt in warmer weather by simply venting your topside insulation just like you do at home in a bed. If you do modify the Wooki suspension to fit a different hammock, it should be adjusted so the band stretches 2″ (with someone laying in the hammock).
